A rainy morning didn’t stop members of our team from trading their desks for hard hats. NGL had the privilege of sponsoring and volunteering at the Frame Up on the Square event for Habitat for Humanity of Dane County.

Together, they framed walls that will one day hold family photos, celebrate milestones, provide comfort during difficult times and dream of the future. It’s inspiring to know that the work we did today will become a piece of a home where a family can grow, thrive and create lasting memories.

Today, we recognize and celebrate Juneteenth, a day that celebrates freedom, resilience and the pursuit of equality. Juneteenth serves as an opportunity to reflect on our nation's history, honor the contributions of Black Americans and continue learning from the stories and experiences that have shaped our communities.

Our office is closed today and will resume regular business hours on Monday, June 22.

Get to know our Agent Solutions Team: Meet Michael Zamorano! 👋

I joined the Agent Solutions Team in October 2025. I enjoy connecting with agents and working collaboratively to provide them with the necessary resources to best assist those they serve. I truly value the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in my role. My favorite part of the job is knowing we are helping people during a difficult time.

Outside of work, I enjoy attending sporting events and concerts, as well as spending time reading and staying active outdoors with friends and family.

For NGL, it's one state show after another! We've been crisscrossing the country to meet with partners in Ohio, South Dakota, Michigan, Utah and Illinois to name a few, and we won't stop there!

"The Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association Professional Women's Conference was an amazing experience," said Karen Chadwick, NGL's Agent Solutions Operations Manager. "This is now my fourth year going and I have built some great relationships with the wonderful women who work in deathcare. It was a great time connecting with them and learning of their newest experiences."

Meanwhile, Jessi Booker and Matt McKearn, RVPs of Sales, headed to the Illinois Funeral Directors Association show and said it was "great to make some new connections and strengthen some relationships!"

Sujkowski Funeral Home at the Ohio Funeral Director's Association show about high turnover because of burnout and how to retain your valued employees.

💻NGL’s Newly Enhanced Website Adds Chat Feature for Preneed (Funeral Insurance) Policyholders 💬

When NGL launched its new website in late 2025, it was developed to deliver a faster, more intuitive, user-friendly digital experience for current and potential policyholders, agents and job candidates.

“The new website reflects NGL’s ongoing commitment to innovation, transparency and providing excellent customer service by offering streamlined navigation, modern design and expanded access to product and company information,” said Maria Lubick, Assistant Vice President, Corporate Communications and Community Engagement. “We focused on creating a website that is informative, easy to navigate and accessible across all devices while better showcasing our products, service and company values.”

A major addition to the website is the introduction of a live customer service chat feature. Preneed (funeral insurance) policyholders with policy-related questions can connect directly with an NGL customer service representative in real-time, during NGL business hours. This new feature provides faster assistance, personalized support and a more convenient way for policyholders to receive answers without needing to place a phone call or wait for an email response.

“This new chat feature technology allows us to connect with policyholders faster, helping reduce call volumes and improve wait times,” said Drew Prenli, Assistant Vice President, Customer and Distribution Solutions. “Providing a superb customer service experience is a priority at NGL. Our experienced representatives set us apart from other insurance carriers. That’s why policyholders can be confident that when they message us on chat, they are speaking to an actual NGL representative in Madison, not an AI bot.”

As the month of May ends, we wanted to recognize the importance of it being Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health is just as important as physical health.

At NGL, we believe in creating a supportive workplace and fostering a culture where our team members feel empowered to take care of their mental health.

Throughout the month we shared a variety of resources for our team members. A special thank you to Dr. Katie Schmitt, Medical Director of UnityPoint Health – Meriter Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) Program for speaking to our team. We learned more about the program and how it helps to equip youth ages 6-18 with the tools to support their mental health needs.

Mental health wellness is so important at any age. NGL is a supporter of the work CAP does and has contributed to the facility’s expansion from 20 to 30 beds.
