If your modified adjusted gross income as reported on your IRS tax return from 2 years ago is above a certain amount, you'll pay the standard Medicare Part B premium "$170 for 2022" and an income-related monthly adjustment amount.
If your yearly income for 2020 was
Individual- 91,000 or less and Joint- 182,000 or less you pay the standard $170 Part B premium for 2022
Individual- 91,000 up to 114,000 and Joint- 182,000 up to 228,000 you pay $238.10 Part B premium.
Individual- 114,000 up to 142,000 and Joint- 228,000 up to 284, 000 you pay $340.20 Part B premium.
Individual-142,000 up to 170,000 and Joint- 284,000 up to 340,000
you pay $442.30 Part B premium.
Individual-170,000 up to 500,000 and Joint- 340,000 up to 750,000 you pay 544.30 Part B premium.
Individual- 500,000 or above and Joint-750,000 or above you pay 578.30 for Part B premium.
This amount is for 2022 and is adjusted every year by the Centers For Medicare Services.
