March is a meaningful month for many reasons.

It’s National Women’s History Month, a time to celebrate the strength, leadership, and contributions of the incredible women who shape our families, workplaces, and communities every single day. I’m grateful for the women in my life: my mom, my wife, our employees, coworkers, and so many others who make our communities stronger.

March is also Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, which hits close to home for my family. Because of that personal connection, I want to take a moment to remind everyone how important awareness and early detection truly are.

Cancer doesn’t discriminate, and colorectal cancer affects both men and women. The good news is that when detected early, it is one of the most preventable and treatable cancers.

I want to share something personal today. Recently, I was laid off from my full-time position with Berlitz, the job that helped me keep the bills paid while I’ve been building ROC Insurance Group. Along with me, my entire global team was let go. Honestly, it’s been a tough and frustrating experience, and it’s hard to see so many talented people affected.

But sometimes life closes one door so that another can open — a door toward what I am truly meant to grow. For me, that’s ROC Insurance Group. This is more than just an insurance agency — it’s a family. My passion is helping people protect what matters most, whether it’s their home, business, or future.
