The difference between pre-approval and approval

Pre-Approval ≠ Loan Approval

Pre-Approval is issued by the coach (your loan officer). They get you on the field with confidence, show you how far you can run, and prep you for underwriting.

Loan Approval is the referee (the underwriter). They review credit, capacity (income & DTI), and collateral (appraisal, title, insurance)… then issue the Clear to Close.

Pre-approval and approval are not the same.

Pre-approval is pre-season. Approval is game on.

Know the difference so you don’t get surprised late in the process.
