After many years of wonderful food from Sonny & Lois Wallace Noland of Nolands catering they are going to start slowing down and enjoying life with retirement. They have served Farm Bureau so many meals over the years from annual meetings, legislative banquets, ice cream socials, early morning steak and eggs breakfast and many Missouri Farm bureau events that has been in the area we can’t even count. With the final banquet they will be catering we presented the Nolands with the 2026 Friend of Farm Bureau Award. Thank you for all you have done to satisfy our hunger you will be missed.

Macon Co FB held its 73rd Annual meeting Thursday evening, with over 100 members in attendance. Missouri Farm Bureau Vice President Andy Clay spoke to our members introducing himself to everyone as the newly elected Vice President. Andy spoke about some of the highlights that farm bureau has been involved with this summer. Next Shelby Co Cares group spoke on the importance of rural suicidal awareness and the help that’s available to the community. Explained the resources they have available to help anyone in need. They also talked of the up coming events to help raise funds to make this program successful.
