Spoofing scams happen when fraudsters disguise their phone number to make it look like a trusted source, like your credit union. These calls may appear legitimate, but their goal is to trick you into sharing personal or financial information.

TRU•FI Credit Union will never call you to ask for your account number, online banking password or PIN.

Here are a few ways to protect yourself:

• Be cautious of unexpected calls, even if the number looks familiar
• Do not share personal or account information over the phone
• Hang up if something feels off and call back using a trusted number
• Take your time, scammers often create urgency to pressure you

🚧We’ve been telling you big things are happening in Callahan and it’s happening this week!

🌳Our Callahan Branch will be closing early at noon on Wednesday, April 15 as we make the move into our brand new space. But don’t worry, we’ll be back and better than ever when the new branch opens at 9 AM on Thursday, April 16.

🌳 It’s TRU·FI Team Tuesday and this week’s Employee Spotlight features Sarah Cash, a Universal Member Service Rep at our Callahan branch. With several years of banking experience and strong ties to the local community, Sarah brings knowledge and dedication to serving our members.

Q: How many years have you worked at TRU·FI?
Sarah: I have worked at TRU·FI for four months.

Q: How many years have you worked in banking?
Sarah: I have worked in banking for nine years.

Q: Where are you from?
Sarah: I am from Callahan.

Q: Where did you go to high school or college?
Sarah: I attended West Nassau High School.

Q: Where do you live now?
Sarah: I currently live in Callahan.

Q: What kinds of sports, clubs, or activities did you participate in during high school, college, or currently?
Sarah: In high school, I participated in basketball, volleyball, and track. Currently, I enjoy supporting my sons in football, basketball, and track. I am also an avid hunter and fisherman.
