Moving back to Seattle had always been important. In 1999, Katy and her two children moved back to Seattle full time and she started working for Normandy Mortgage, Inc., with Jim Reischling, her brother. In 2006 with one other partner, they became owners of Normandy Mortgage, Inc and Normandy Escrow, Inc. Together as a team they have been top producers for over 20 years and worked with folks all over Washington, Alaska, Oregon, California and Arizona, helping people realize their dream of buying a home, and lowering their monthly obligations by refinancing into a better solution. In addition, Reverse mortgages have played a major part of their success. Helping those over 62 years stay in their homes, have some extra cash and remain financially independent has been an overwhelmingly positive role to participate in with many families. James has been a lifelong resident of the Seattle area. After graduating from Washington State University he went into the construction industry and became a general contractor building several custom homes. He joined the mortgage industry around the same time. Later he moved to Alaska for a few years and continued to work as a general contractor. Together they moved back to Seattle and in 2000, Jim picked up where he left off with Normandy Mortgage as a loan originator. Jim became part owner of Normandy Mortgage in 2006. Jim enjoys fly fishing, woodworking, spending time with his son Dylan and travelling with his partner Lynda. Katy and Jim have worked as a team, The Reischling Group, for the past 20+ years. They specialize in residential financing using conventional, VA, FHA, USDA, Reverse mortgages and Jumbo loans.
