As Alabama continues to recover from the impacts of Hurricane Isaias, we extend our sincere gratitude to the linemen, utility crews, law enforcement officers, first responders, emergency management personnel, public works employees, and countless volunteers who worked tirelessly to restore services and keep our communities safe.

We also thank our neighbors, local businesses, community leaders, and citizens who stepped up to help those in need. Your hard work, vigilance, resilience, and commitment to serving others demonstrate the very best of Alabama.

We’re excited to welcome Kristian Ray to the team in Online Banking! Kristian is looking forward to getting to know our customers and becoming part of the team.

Outside of work, Kristian enjoys fishing with the kids, spending time at the lake, embroidery and customizing everyday wear.

A fun fact about Kristian? She has a big, goofy personality and loves making people laugh. She also has a soft spot for the elderly and a habit of twirling her hair!

This Farmer’s Day, we’re proud to recognize Michael Hughes of Nest Egg Farms!

What began with his grandparents’ work in timber, cattle and row crops has grown into a diverse, family-run operation. Officially established in 2005, Nest Egg Farms now includes row crops, poultry houses, cattle operations and logging crews.

For Michael, one of the most rewarding parts of farming is keeping family and friends close. With two of his three sons working alongside him, family remains at the heart of everything they do.

Michael also knows the value of a local banking relationship built on trust. As he puts it, “Numbers don’t always tell the true story.” He appreciates knowing that First Citizens Bank has his back, both personally and professionally.

This Farmer’s Day, we’re grateful for Michael and the Hughes family and proud to be part of their story. Happy Farmer’s Day to all the hardworking farmers who help our communities grow!
