Meet our April 2026 Employee Spotlight, Brian Goldman!
Brian began his career at Singing River Electric 27 years ago as a part-time helper in the maintenance department. He then read meters and became a lineman. He is now a journeyman lineman and serves as a construction foreman, where he supervises underground construction crews.
“I love being able to teach, mold, and learn from the new guys on the crews. We teach each other about work stuff, sure, but we talk about life things too. It’s one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.”
Brian gives God the credit for having a career at Singing River Electric. “I was a student at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and struggling with what I wanted to do until I received a phone call from Ace Necaise, who was the Gautier district manager at the time,” said Brian. “He called the school and asked if they knew anyone interested in a part-time position, and the school recommended me. I’ve been here ever since.”
Brian loves the family atmosphere of Singing River Electric and how the employees show up for one another and the membership. “I know I can call any of our employees and they’ll be on their way, including things outside of work. When it comes to restoring power, all the employees, both inside the office and outside, immediately get to work.”
Outside of work, Brian loves spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and serving at his church.
