We’re excited to introduce you to one of the faces behind Olive Insurance Agency — Haegan Garrett! 🤍

Haegan is a small-town girl with a big love for family, agriculture, and the western way of life. She and her husband, Cody, along with their son, Brenner, spend much of their time at the ranch and enjoying the lifestyle they love.

When she’s not in the office, you can usually find Haegan with her family, around cattle and exotic wildlife, hunting, at the ranch, or working on one of the many projects she always seems to have going. 🤠🦌

Her firsthand experience in the ranching, cattle, and wildlife world gives her a unique perspective, but what really stands out about Haegan is how much she enjoys building genuine relationships with the people around her.

Happy 3-Year Workaversary to Tyler Saiz! 🎉

Tyler came to us as an intern his freshman year at TTU. He’s an accounting major at Rawls College of Business and started his last first day on Monday.

He was our very first interview the day we were hiring. He walked out, and we immediately wanted to cancel the rest.

Immediate yes.

Three years later, we carry the exact same sentiment.

Immediate yes. Every single day.

Tyler is smart, dependable, kind, willing to do absolutely anything we throw at him, and just one of those people you’re genuinely thankful showed up at your door.

We truly can’t say enough good things about him.

🐴✨ It’s MEET THE AGENT MONDAY! ✨🐴

Today we’re reintroducing Elena Joanow! Elena has been with The Olive Agency for three years and has enjoyed growing right alongside the agency. 💚

Equine insurance continues to be a big part of what she does. Elena takes pride in the relationships she builds with her clients and making sure each horse has coverage that fits their individual needs—because no two horses or situations are quite the same. 🐎

Over the last few years, she’s also enjoyed branching further into Farm & Ranch insurance and is continuing to explore the commercial side of the industry. 🌾

When she isn’t yapping about insurance, Elena is usually hauling and seasoning her younger barrel horses—or, as she calls them, her “baby rodeo horses”—and enjoying the process of bringing them along. 🤠🐴

Three years in and she still spends most of her time talking about insurance or horses… so not much has changed! 😂💚

🌿 Meet the Agent Monday: Shayna Dorsey 🌿

Shayna is co-owner of Olive Insurance Agency and has spent the last 10 years alongside her business partner, Cassidy, growing Olive from an idea into an agency serving clients across the country. 💚

Her roots run deep in agribusiness—from donor cows and performance horses to ranching operations—but she also loves the challenge of commercial insurance. Shayna enjoys working with business owners to understand their unique, often layered operations and helping them find coverage that fits. 🐴🐮🤝

Outside of work, life revolves around the two boys pictured here, Kutter and Kastyn. ❤️ Whether it’s the next sport, stock show, trip, or adventure on the calendar, there’s rarely a dull moment. Somewhere in between, she’s usually trying to find a little time to perfect her golf swing. ⛳️

And it would be improper to leave out an honorable mention for Winston, her poodle, who firmly believes he is the third child. 🐩

After 16 years in the insurance industry, Shayna still loves what brought her here in the first place: building relationships, working through the complicated accounts, and seeing just how far a little idea can grow. 🌱💚
