What a truly amazing way to end Veterans Day! 🌟 We spent the afternoon volunteering at the Silent Wings Museum Veterans Day Commemoration, and the history held within those walls is absolutely incredible.
​It was an honor to play a small part in honoring our heroes today. If you haven't been, you need to visit this museum and experience the stories firsthand!

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes in San Elizario! 🇺🇸

​This past Saturday, we had the pleasure to represent Woodmen Life -Texas Chapter 3887 at the San Elizario Veterans Day Event.

​The event was truly perfect—the weather was beautiful, but the spirit of gratitude was even warmer.

​We are incredibly blessed to live in this free country and enjoy countless liberties. But that freedom is not free. It comes at the tremendous cost paid by those who have served and are currently serving in our nation's Armed Forces.

​Let us never forget their sacrifice. Take a moment TODAY to thank a veteran for the freedom you are enjoying.

​Thank you, San Elizario, for hosting such a beautiful and meaningful tribute!

We also had the pleasure of presenting Ray Borrego with 3 new flags to be displayed in the square where the event took place.

What an honor it was last night to donate a new flag and flag pole to the West Carslile Volunteer Fire Department! 🇺🇸 They've been rebuilding strong since the tornado damage in June, and we at WoodmenLife - Lubbock, TX Chapter 875 were proud to help them raise their new colors.
​Thank you, West Carlisle Volunteer Fire Department, for your tireless service to our community. It's truly a pleasure to give back to those who give so much. We salute you!

If you wish to honor a Veteran or Veteran Family Member for this Veteran's Day, here are the flag placement details at the Texas State Veterans Cemeteries:

⚫ Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene - November 7th at 5:00 p.m.

⚫ Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at Corpus Christi – November 10th at 5:00 p.m.

⚫ Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Killeen – November 11th at 8:00 a.m.

⚫ Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery at Mission – November 11th at 9:00 a.m.

⚫ West Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Lubbock – Although there are no interments, the U.S. Flag, the Texas flag, the Service Branch flags, the POW/MIA flag, and the Avenue of Flags will all be raised from sunrise the sunset on November 11th.

Flags will be available at each cemetery. If you have any questions, please contact the cemetery.
