Vishing is a type of phone scam where criminals impersonate trusted organizations to trick you into sharing sensitive information or sending money. Remember: legitimate banks and organizations will never ask you to provide sensitive information or make payments over the phone.
🚩 Don’t trust caller ID alone. It can be spoofed.
🚩 Don’t call back unknown numbers or numbers left in suspicious voicemails.
🚩 If you’re unsure, hang up and contact the organization using a number you’ve independently verified.
🚩 Never share sensitive information just because the caller already knows some details about you or your company.
