Luana Savings Bank is proud to donate $10,000 to the Northeast Iowa Vietnam Veterans Association to support the development of the Giard Northeast Iowa Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park in Clayton County.

Located near Giard along Highway 18 (between Monona and Marquette), the community-driven project will create a permanent place to honor the service, sacrifice, and legacy of Vietnam Veterans from across Northeast Iowa. The park will feature educational exhibits, historical panels, and recognition elements that preserve the stories of local veterans for generations to come.

We’re honored to support this meaningful project and help create a place of remembrance, reflection, and community connection. 💙

We’re proud to congratulate our CEO, Shane Greenleaf, on participating in the 2026–27 Iowa Bankers Association (IBA) Rising Bank Exec Program!

The multi-month program brings together emerging bank leaders to develop leadership and strategic decision-making skills, explore the evolving banking landscape, and learn from industry experts and peers.

Shane recently attended the Program Kick-Off on August 26, where participants connected with fellow bank leaders and discussed community banking, organizational culture, mentorship, and their goals for the program.

🎉 We would like to congratulate Geordan Hanson and Jeanessa Meyer from our Luana branch as they were recognized as a Heritage Farm Family at the Iowa State Fair.

🚜 This year, there were 240 Heritage Farm Families recognized for the Heritage Farm Program from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship and Iowa Farm Bureau. The Heritage Farm Program recognizes farm families that have owned at least 40 acres for 150 years or more. This year’s recipients joined more than 2,000 Heritage Farms from across Iowa that have received this distinction.

🌽 Both Geordan and Jeanessa’s family farms originated in 1876, with multiple generations farming the land. Geordan & Brooke’s farm is in Clayton county and currently includes a beef cow-calf herd, crop land, and a balance in pasture and timber. Cory & Jeanessa’s farm is in Fayette county, and currently has beef cattle, and brothers Nathan & Angela with Dustin & Jolene Meyer with crop land.

👏 Congratulations to each of the families being recognized and to our customers that have received the Century or Heritage Award. Thank you for your commitment to Iowa agriculture and for preserving a family farming tradition that continues to strengthen our state and nation.
