🪿 Seeing Canada geese flying overhead? Fall is on the way! Here are 4 things you might not know about their migration:

🍂 They don't all fly south. Some Canada geese migrate long distances, while others remain in the same general area year-round.

✈️ That famous “V” serves a purpose. Flying in formation can help geese conserve energy by taking advantage of air movement created by the birds ahead.

📣 All that honking has a job. Geese use calls to communicate and help keep the flock together while traveling.

🧭 They're impressive navigators. Canada geese use environmental cues and learned routes to help navigate, and many return to the same areas year after year.

Next time you hear that familiar honking overhead, take a second to look up—one of fall's great North Country traditions is passing by!

🍔🍦 September has given us some pretty tasty food history!

🍔 The Hamburger – One famous origin story dates the hamburger sandwich to the Erie County Fair in New York in September 1885.

🍦 The Ice Cream Sandwich – One of the earliest known newspaper references to this delicious creation appeared in September 1900.

🥐 Pop-Tarts – Okay, maybe not exactly a “recipe,” but they hit store shelves in September 1964 and breakfast was never quite the same! 😄

So the important question is… which one are you picking: 🍔, 🍦 or Pop-Tarts?
