The Baystate Marathon is Sunday, October 18. Starting as early as 5:00AM, sections of the following roads will be closed to traffic. Seek alternative routes, through GPS apps like Waze or Google Maps. Do not park on these streets, as vehicles will be towed.

A powerful coastal storm is expected to affect New England starting tomorrow and through the weekend. Make sure to:
• Move outdoor furniture, umbrellas, grills, decorations, toys, and other loose property into a secure structure.
• Secure trash containers, planters, and anything that could become airborne.
• Clear gutters, downspouts, drains, and basement window wells.
• Test sump pumps and available backup systems.
• Close and lock windows, doors, sheds, and detached structures.
• Move vehicles away from trees, low-lying areas, and coastal flood zones.
• Charge phones and backup batteries and prepare for possible outages.
• Generators must be operated outdoors in a dry, well-ventilated location.
• Monitor official forecasts and avoid driving or walking through floodwater.
