⚠️ Weather Forecast for Nelson County – Monday

We’ve seen the forecast for tomorrow, and while maps and probabilities can vary depending on location, the message remains the same: there is a threat for severe weather in our area Monday, including damaging winds and the potential for tornado activity.

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐩 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝, 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞.

Now is a good time to take a few simple precautions:

• Bring in or secure outdoor items that could become dangerous in strong winds
• Make sure you have a reliable way to receive weather warnings
• Have a plan for where you’ll go if a tornado warning is issued

UPDATE: we had some sidewalks and roads cleared and we WILL be open tomorrow, Friday 1/30 for our normal hours 8AM-4PM

Update: Due to the thick sheets of ice where my employees and customers have to park and would have to walk on to get to our office out of caution we will be working remotely the remainder of the week. With temperatures in the single digits it’s been impossible to melt or move some of the ice. Thank you for your understanding and please stay safe and warm!
