My processor/assistant and I have been at this gig for over 55 years combined. When you do anything for that length of time you go through phases of difficulties and successes. Often you don’t see or appreciate what you do. The true value can be tainted with our daily struggles.
It is a blessing as you get older and see clearer the real “stuff” behind your work. Things like getting a young family into their first home, helping a senior citizen stay in their home payment free, and helping a person fix their credit after a painful divorce or bankruptcy.
I have always liked the above picture. It’s one of my favorite families that went from living in a trailer to their first home. They had a flag up as they moved in. They were hard working and deserving of greater things.
I just feel blessed to be able to be a small part of it.
