Why I Chose to Become a Financial Representative

Terje Whitmore, LUTCF® Financial Representative for COUNTRY® Financial

Life-long resident of Fort Collins. Whitmore has been an involved business member/owner for over 23 years. He has developed strong partnerships with government, business, community and civic organizations and has been an active leader in many city-wide outreach programs involving youth and adults.

After a fulfilling career playing Super League Rugby for New York City, Whitmore returned to Colorado to finish his business marketing degree at CSU. Within years he opened his own marketing company which proved to be lucrative. At the same time, he continued to be involved with coaching and playing local club Rugby.

In 2010, Whitmore injured his neck playing the sport he loved. Even though he was successful with his marketing and business, he wasn’t successful in understanding financial risk management and almost lost everything he acquired.
