Text messages are being sent out to individuals stating: Ohio Motor Vehicle Administration (BMV) Final Notice: Enforcement Penalties Begin on June 28.
Our records show that as of today, you still have an outstanding traffic ticket. In accordance with Ohio State car Administrative Code 15C-16.003, If you do not complete payment by June 27, 2025, we will take the following actions:

1. Report to the BMV violation database
2. Suspend your vehicle registration starting June 28
3. Suspend driving privileges for 30 days
4. Transfer to a toll booth and charge a 35% service fee
5. You may be prosecuted and your credit score will be affected

The information available suggests that "Ohio State Administrative Code 15C-16.003" is not a genuine Ohio administrative code. Multiple sources indicate this code is being used in text message scams related to outstanding traffic tickets. The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) has issued warnings that these texts are fraudulent.

Vehicle Safety Recall

On March 4, 2025, I took my vehicle to have the high pressure fuel pump replaced due to a recall. I thought it was replaced On May 7, 2024, my car caught on fire one minute after exiting the vehicle. I contacted the dealership that inspected my car and they said they just inspected it and there weren’t any hydrocarbons present so they didn’t have to replace it. 😱😱 Two months later my worst fear became a reality. My car caught on fire!!🔥 I decided to go to AT&T to have my phone looked at but left all my other electronics in the car, which were damaged beyond repair. Honda corporate has not contacted me yet. I have called multiple times and asked for my case manager to contact me. He will NOT! The insurance company states Honda hasn’t accepted responsibility even though it was determined to be the high pressure fuel pump.

If you drive a 2023-2025 Honda you may be at risk for a vehicle fire! Once they inspect the fuel pump the recall is removed, but it does not remove your risk. The high pressure fuel pump is being recalled due to being improperly manufactured. Those words should demand a replacement not an inspection!!
