Thank you to everyone who supported us last year for the annual Chase Gavin Coat-A-Kid Drive.

That time is here again! Starting today, coats will be collected in our office. We are excited to see our coat donations go to children from a variety of local schools.

Thanks to Louisville Business First for including Hyland Insurance in the "Fast 50" list for the seventh year in a row. We appreciate being acknowledged and included in such diverse group of clients and friends around the city.

The 27th annual program highlights independent businesses with at least $5 million in revenue. These firms will be ranked in October, but you can see the class of 50 today.

Whether you are on a job site or at home doing yard work, watching for signs of heat-related illnesses is important.

Monitoring yourself and those around you by resting often, staying hydrated, using fans, and blocking direct sunlight can prevent these types of illnesses.

Signs of a heat-related illness include headaches, dizziness, upset stomach, confusion, or sweating profusely. Signs of a heat stroke include having dry skin, where there is a lack of sweat. One may lose consciousness or have a seizure.

As summer ends and schools start back-up, the summer heat is still here. Take care of yourself and those employees around you on days with elevated temperatures.
