While my business is down, I thought I would take a little time to share a few lessons that I have learned over the last two months......
I have been in the mortgage industry since 1999. I continue to learn new things daily, which is one of the reasons I enjoy my job. However, the main reason I enjoy my job is because I enjoy helping others. That is just in my DNA. While I know that there are many options out there for you when it comes to financing your home, whether it be purchasing new, investments, or refinancing, I want to give you a few reasons why you should consider my professional services as your lender: Integrity, honesty, and my family depends on your satisfaction.
So, I got a frantic text over the weekend letting me know that they were splitting up and wanted to know their options. I explained to them their options and showed them a much cheaper way of dividing the property than what was explained to them by their current mortgage servicer.
***Lender was trying to make money on a situation that was unnecessary***
A current friend/client sent me what they thought was their offer from a "well-known banking institution” and wanted to review it. While reviewing the letter over the phone with them, we learned a few things. First, the letter wasn't in compliance, Second, the letter wasn't specific to them, even though their banker told them otherwise. Thirdly, payments were incorrect, the taxes and insurance showed as $1.00/month…(very odd), and the fine print explained that they had not pulled their credit when the banker told them otherwise.
***Action where the lender sent lower rates, payments, etc. to lure the client to later find out it wasn’t accurate at all***
In my years of experience, it is times like these that many lenders get desperate and will do anything to lure you to them. Please feel free to call me to ensure that you not only trust your decisions, but that you also understand your options.
