One thing we can all agree on.... Auto Rates in Kentucky are outrages! DYK Healthcare Companies (Hospitals, Physical Therapist, Chiropractors, etc) are able to bill any amount that they choose to insurance companies? Essentially there are zero laws/guard rails that limits what can be billed to insurance companies.

Establishing a consistent billing structure and setting reasonable limits on what can be charged, will help prevent excessive costs, reduce fraud, and ultimately lower auto insurance rates for consumers.

Reach out to your State Representative and ask them to vote YES on House Bill 146. This bill is facing heavy lobbying from Chiropractors and Physical Therapist (why not, it's currently the wild, wild, west for them). Passing this bill will take a huge a step in the right direction with getting our Auto Rates in line with the states that boarder KY!

🚨UPDATE ALERT: As of 3:40pm on 1-8-25 LMPD is no longer operating on the Online Reporting Forms for NON-INJURY collisions in due to the ❄️. Please be safe as you motor around the area and take proper precautions as some areas could refreeze.

🚨IMPORTANT INFORMATION🚨

Due to the ongoing snow and weather event here in the Metro Louisville area. We are now operating on Online Reporting Forms. That means if you are involved in a NON-INJURY collision you will need to use the Online Reporting forms that are provided by Kentucky State Police. It is very user friendly to fill out and you can even do it on your phone. If you are involved in a non-injury and can safely get the vehicles off the roadway, please do so. Again, we remind you to make sure to exchange names and information between you and the other driver. If you can safely document the damage via your cell phone, please do so and continue. If you are involved in a non-injury collision and are blocking a roadway, please contact dispatch via the non-emergency line at 574-7111 to advise them of your situation and we will respond as soon as possible.
