The Cool Roof Incentive Program is officially back, and it’s a pretty solid deal. If you’re upgrading your roof, you can snag a $1 per square foot rebate up to $10,000. It cuts energy costs, fights those brutal urban heat pockets, and lowers your home’s carbon footprint all at once.

This incentive is open to both homeowners and businesses. Properties in Districts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 12, 14, and 15 get priority since they’re in the high heat-island areas identified in the Urban Heat Management Study.

A few quick notes:
• Funds renew each year, but they go fast.
• You can apply for up to three properties per fiscal year.
• Cool roofs aren’t just “nice to have” they actually make a noticeable difference in comfort and utility bills.

If you’re thinking about a roof upgrade, this is a good moment to jump on it.
