They have announced the social security COLA for 2027. It will be 3.6% which is largely influenced by rising energy and fuel costs.

It is not a scam, but if you have Medicare Part A and B and do not have an IRMAA or Medicaid, you received a deposit or check for $90. This is to help with your Part B premium for October. Be aware that scammers may contact you to get your banking information telling you they need that to deposit the amount. THIS IS NOT TRUE. The deposit was made Oct 8th already.

There is a new scam going on with Medicare. Clients are getting calls that they have to re-register their Medicare card. This is NOT true. DO NOT give your Medicare number to anyone that calls. Your carrier will already have your number. Medicare NEVER calls you and social security only calls you if you have an appointment. Have your friends follow us for more updates as they happen.

Got a call from a client saying Trump is terminating the drug plans. That is not true. The subsidies that are in place expire at the end of the year. That is one thing that was making the drug plans more affordable. He is not extending the subsidies. Stay tuned for how that will affect Part D premiums.

This is Allison. I fell on Saturday and hurt my neck. Had spinal fusion of 2 discs on Sunday morning. I am out of the hospital now but have a long recovery ahead. I’m in a C collar which means I cannot drive. I hope to begin doing some work next week, but it will be very limited. I have a lot of PT coming up. Chaz and Madeline are doing their best.

Please be patient with them. They’re overwhelmed and concerned about me as well. If you need help with your plan, please call customer service at the number on your card. It may take them 2-4 days to get back with you. They are doing their best to keep up.

If you leave a message, please only leave one. They will call you. We know it is getting near the end of the month, so calls are prioritized based on need. I apologize for this. We always want to provide the best service, but at this time we are struggling. Please be patient while I focus on recovering.
