SWL Financial Services facilitated a Financial Literacy Series in May for Kentucky Leaders of Tomorrow
The 2 part Sessions covered topics on Money Personality, Personal Finance, Credit Basics & College Financing.
Students who attended both Sessions were eligible to apply for a $1,000 Scholarship sponsored by SWL Financial Services to assist with college expenses.
They had to write a 1,500-2,000 word essay on discussing their money personality and how it influences their financial decisions. Explain their understanding of personal finance, credit basics, and college finance, and describe how this knowledge will help them manage their finances effectively as they navigate through high school and pursue their college education.
I am proud to announce the 2025 SWL Financial Services Scholarship Award Recipient is Quincy Blakely!
Quincy graduated from DuBois Academy attending Kentucky State University this fall majoring in Kinesiology or Physical Therapy.
As the former Vice President & current Advisor for Kentucky Leaders of Tomorrow, I am very passionate about this program and will continue to provide financial education through my business for these students to succeed!
This is the first scholarship SWL Financial Services has awarded and each year a deserving KYLOT Student will have the opportunity to be selected.
