Once that goal is met, UNM-VC obtains matching Dept. of Education funds to turn the endowment to $10,000. This would generate a $500 scholarship every year in Amber's name. Once again, Zeta needs your help with our Annual Community Service Project. For next 12 months we will be collecting money for the Amber Sanchez Memorial Scholarship at UNM/Valencia Campus Endowment fund. Amber was tragically taken away from us on September 23, 2006 at the young age of 14 by su***de. She was smart, athletic, talented, loving and most of all beautiful. She is terribly missed by all. Our mission is to honor her with a scholarship, but also to spread awareness of this epidemic that has affected us all. More information will be posted next week on how to contribute to this cause.
