The first year California has Girls Flag football as an official high school sport, and I was asked to be the Head Coach. I have Never coached football before. On top of that, None of my girls really played football before… girls had to learn to catch, run routes, and learn rules that kept constantly changing during the season. Officials were not trained on the official rules which meant each game was a new challenge. My girls are resilient, tough as nails, smart, and ready for the final challenge. We are Going to the CIF Division 1 Championship game this Saturday. Super proud of these young ladies.
