On Tuesday, WGAW Secretary Treasurer Peter Murrieta joined a delegation of labor allies and California congresspeople to push for the Motion Picture, Television, and Entertainment Revitalization Act, legislation that would create a national film tax credit for productions in the US. "When productions leave, they take thousands of union jobs with them," said Murrieta. "Jobs that provide health and retirement benefits, and that train the next generation, just like myself, to keep the industry thriving."
