Hottest Zip Codes of Last Year
PropertyShark released their end of the year report from their real estate database and their findings are interesting but not surprising: California is an expensive state to live in.
Their findings were that California holds 77 of the 100 most expensive spots or zip code, including five in the top ten.
Second to California was New York that had 19 of the most expensive zip codes and then every state after that had no more than two making the list.
The top of the most expensive zip code list was 94027 which is Atherton, California. No surprise that this zip code is a Silicon Valley city full of tech executives. This zip code had a median sale price of $4.95 million, according to the data collected by PropertyShark.
Some of the other top zip codes included an area of luxury condos of Tribeca in Manhattan and an area in Miami Beach.
When looking at counties, Los Angeles featured more entries on the list than any other with 18 of those areas landing in the top 100. Some of those areas included Malibu, Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles, San Marino, Venice, La Cañada Flintridge, the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Hermosa Beach, Bradbury and Encino.
Looks like California is on the up and up…and again, is anyone really surprised?
