Northwestern Mutual just announced a record $10.4 billion dividend payout for 2027, and we think that's worth celebrating.
But for our clients, $10.4 billion isn't really the number that matters. What matters is what is happening inside their individual policies.
Dividends aren't guaranteed, but they have been remarkably consistent. Northwestern Mutual has now paid dividends for 156 consecutive years. That kind of continuity matters, particularly when other parts of a portfolio are being challenged by rising rates.
At Sentinel Bridge, we believe long-term consistency can be a strategic advantage. For the right client, permanent death benefits and cash values can complement a well-built investment portfolio by providing stability, tax efficiency, optionality, and an asset whose value isn't driven by daily market movements.
No single year's dividend is the reason to own permanent insurance. But 156 years of consistency is a pretty good reminder of why we believe in its long-term value.
We're excited about the announcement. Now we're looking forward to seeing the impact where it really matters: inside our clients' plans.
