What an incredible couple of days in New York for our AGM! Thank you to our LPs, founders, and friends who joined us for two days of meaningful conversation, reflection, and momentum.

We opened with an intimate LP dinner and fireside chat with our founding GPs, and , moderated by the brilliant of Care.com and in a loft in the heart of Union Square.

The next day, we hosted a closed investor breakfast session, then opened up into a luncheon to kick off the conference portion of the day, all at the impeccable Zero Bond! In our panels Assia and Rachel guided us into two big themes shaping the next decade of consumer tech:

- The Opportunity of Overlooked Markets in the Age of AI, with , .m.ruggiero of , part of Genius Sports and . We dived into all things AI, data moats and what true advantage means in today’s market.

The AGM marked a celebration of our journey to date and was where we officially kicked off the launch of Fund III. is launching today to thoughtfully scale egg freezing and egg donation, while radically restructuring egg freezing costs along the way. is beyond proud to back this company that will drive some of the most formative change in fertility! Here’s the deal…A large portion of frozen eggs end up going unused and may eventually be discarded. Through Cofertility, you can not only freeze your eggs, but also help support a family that is struggling to conceive. “Freezing eggs is not a done deal—that doesn’t mean you’re 100% getting a baby in the future,” says Kristen (from article). “So not having to pay out of pocket for that does relieve some of the pressure. And [you] also have the great opportunity to donate your eggs and hopefully help someone else on their fertility journey.” Cofertility’s founders—all of whom have faced fertility challenges—are trying to build a new model of egg donation, which has traditionally been anonymized and tied to compensation. When someone freezes their eggs through Cofertility, they can do so for free if they choose to donate half of them through the Split program (assuming they meet the eligibility requirements for egg donors, which align with guidelines from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine). “We’re really bringing egg freezing and egg donation together because you can’t have one without the other,” says Lauren Makler, cofounder and CEO of Cofertility and the former founder of Uber Health.

Did you know that women were historically excluded from clinical research in the United States? It wasn't until June 10, 1993, when Congress passed the NIH Revitalization Act, that women were required to be included in research. Unsurprisingly, this lack of data and implicit gender bias in medicine has led to a public health crisis, where women are dismissed and misdiagnosed. On average, women are diagnosed significantly later than men across 700 diseases, are nearly twice as likely to experience adverse drug reactions across all drug classes and are more likely to die of a heart attack than their male counterparts.

There is only one way to bring equity to medicine: closing the gender gap requires investing in research on the female body. Yet, only 4% of healthcare R&D spending in the US goes directly towards women's health.
