Most companies can tell you which employees can access what. Few can tell you what their AI systems have access to, or whether anyone's even checked.

That means your biggest cyber risk could be coming from inside the house.

It's Insider Threat Awareness Month: the prime season to learn about the dangers of an overprovisioned system that presents significant risk without anyone noticing. Since AI does exactly what it's told, it never asks whether the data it was given should have reached it in the first place. That's a glaring policy gap.

No one defined which data sources were approved, reviewed whether that access still matched the original purpose, or built in a way to catch it when it didn't. Access granted for one purpose keeps getting used for another purpose, with a permissions gap running exactly as configured.

FJ Management runs internal audit across fuel retail, oil and refining, banking, and insurance. Most audit teams would need four different playbooks for that.
