If you're pre-approved to buy a home and haven't found the perfect home, you may be wondering, how long is my mortgage pre-approval good for?

While this will vary by lender, pre-approvals are typically good for about 90 days. Credit reports and documentation provided for your pre-approval does expire and will need to be updated. Additionally, if you're experiencing a major life change, like loss of a job or accrued debt that was not initially counted for, you will want to reach out to your lender immediately to make sure it does not have a negative impact on your pre-approval or qualification amount.
