We are excited to announce our 1st Annual Juvenile Big Buck Contest and Drawing, proudly presented by Farm Bureau Insurance and our local Farm Bureau! We are looking forward to bringing our community together for a fun-filled morning celebrating our young hunters and hopefully starting a tradition that will continue for many years to come.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 31st, from 7:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Bare Bones Meat Processing, located at 67 Good Hope Road in Lawrenceburg.
For those young hunters lucky enough to harvest a big buck, we have a pretty exciting grand prize! The winner of our Big Buck Contest will take home a R***r American Gen 2 r***e chambered in .243, from Sutton Family Pharmacy & Gun Store. Any bucks that are close in size will be scored on-site to determine the winner.
But here's the best part, you don't have to harvest a monster buck to be part of the fun! We want every young hunter to have an opportunity to participate. Whether it's their first deer, a big buck, a small buck, or a doe, we encourage you to bring it by, let us snap a quick picture, and get entered into a drawing for some awesome prizes!
Thanks to the generosity of several local businesses, we already have some incredible prizes lined up. These include a two-man ladder stand donated by Lawson's Outdoors, a premium Boss Buck gravity deer feeder from Lawrence Farmers Co-Op, a two-person hunting blind from Tractor Supply Company, a deer feed package from A&B Feeds, a free skull mount from Jones Skulls, a free turkey fan mount from Strut Zone, and $125 toward deer processing from Bare Bones Meat Processing. And that's just the beginning! We have several more great prizes that will be announced as we get closer to the event. We will also have a few additional opportunities for the kids to win prizes while they're there. We will also have biscuits provided by Quik Mart and grilled hot dogs closer to lunch along with drinks.
Our goal with this event is simple. We want to recognize our young hunters, encourage them to enjoy the outdoors, and give them an experience they can look back on for years to come. Anyone who has grown up hunting knows that some of the best memories aren't necessarily about the biggest deer harvested, but about the excitement, the stories, and the time spent with family and friends. That's what we hope this event will be all about.
There is absolutely NO COST to participate and no obligations whatsoever. Just bring those deer by, let us take a picture.
