Proud to share highlights from the NAWIC Southeast Region Spring Forum 2026, held May 20–23 at the Marriott Knoxville Downtown in Knoxville, Tennessee.

This year’s forum centered around the powerful theme “Voices that Lead, Hands that Build.” It brought together women across the Southeast, including Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee, for impactful learning, leadership development, and meaningful connections. Some of the event highlights included Cultivating Respect: Workplace Culture & Conduct, as well as Leadership development sessions such as Level up Your Presence.

As the Southeast Region Camp Committee Chair and Chapter Development Chair, our very own Kelly Phelan, had the privilege of presenting a regional report highlighting the continued growth and success across our committees. Notably, the number of chapters with active camps has grown to five, and the two new chapters have been added in the past year, with Puerto Rico's chartering scheduled for July.

It was inspiring to connect with so many dedicated women in construction and to witness the momentum growing across our region.

Today, we’re shining a spotlight on Carson Costello! Carson joined us in 2022, partnering with her dad, David Cain, in servicing the greater Atlanta Area and Georgia. Today, she successfully assists contractors in securing the bonding they need to win more contracts and grow their businesses.

Carson holds her AFSB designation and is an expert at navigating everything from first-time bond applications to the SBA Surety Bond Guarantee Program.

Outside the office, Carson and her husband, Chad, have been experiencing lots of "proud parent" moments, celebrating both a college graduation from Emory University and a high school graduation from Hebron Christian Academy! When she's off the clock, Carson loves spending time on the water with her family.

Since our inception in 1977, our agency has proudly supported the National Association of Surety Bond Producers. In addition to its many educational opportunities and government advocacy initiatives, the NASBP hosts an annual conference. This year’s conference was attended by Bryce Guignard.

The conference provides a valuable opportunity to learn about emerging industry trends, reconnect with longtime colleagues, and build new relationships within the surety community. This year’s theme, “Stability Through Purpose,” strongly resonates with our agency’s mission and values.

With a singular focus on delivering the most comprehensive bonding solutions for our clients, we help provide the stability they need to confidently focus on other areas of their business.

Members of the Guignard team, Jennifer Hindley, Carson Costello, and David Cain, recently attended the Georgia Surety Association Quarterly Luncheon in Buckhead, where industry leaders discussed the growing role of AI in surety. One message stood out clearly: every company should have an AI policy.

The panel shared that AI is quickly becoming a valuable tool for improving efficiency, analyzing data, and reducing administrative tasks. However, human oversight, client confidentiality, data security and fraud prevention remain critical.

As AI adoption continues to grow across the surety industry, companies are focusing on responsible use, safeguards, and building internal AI systems that support both productivity and trust.
