You'll find that the people who work at Fibre Federal are working for you, not for a group of outside stockholders trying to make a profit on your money. We are not-for-profit and owned entirely by our members, so we have no one to make happy but you! It means you'll always get a straight answer and a good deal at your Credit Union! Fibre Federal Credit Union was founded in 1937. Sixty-three employees of Longview Fibre Company deposited a combined $315 for the purpose of making affordable loans available to Credit Union members. Over the decades we have grown to become one of the largest credit unions in the Pacific Northwest. We are committed to being a good neighbor for all our members and their friends and families. We help support the economy of our region by doing business locally, and we help make our community stronger through an active community service program. Last week, we attended the Open Doors Brunch: A Community United for Hope and Healing, a fundraiser to help support the Emergency Support Shelter. With our $2,500 donation, we're helping provide critical services including emergency shelter, 24-hour advocacy, crisis intervention, and support for survivors and families across Cowlitz County. Together, we are investing in hope, healing, and a stronger community where every person seeking safety can find an open door and a path forward. 💚

For the price of several bananas per day, credit unions fundraised on behalf of Credit Unions for Kids, a nonprofit collaboration of credit unions and business partners from across the country, and helped pledge $5 million to create a new hybrid operating suite at OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. The expansion supports Doernbecher’s delivery of the most innovative, life-saving pediatric cardiac care in the region.

Since 2018, we've donated $331,500 to local hospital foundations and community college foundations via our Communities First Program. $18,000 of those funds have benefited the Willapa Harbor Health Foundation. This year’s $2,000 donation went toward their general funds as they work to build a new hospital.
