On October 6, ILWU Credit Union hosted a reception for delegates and guests attending the Alaska Longshore Division Caucus at 49th State Brewery in Anchorage, Alaska. Food and drinks were provided, and ILWU Credit Union BD team members, Andy and Rebecca, raffled off several prizes including a $100 ILWU Credit Union gift card! ILWU Credit Union was honored to bring in a taco truck for ILWU Local 8’s “History Open House” on September 25, which connected generations of ILWU community members and their families with the union’s roots. A scavenger hunt through the historical panels on display took attendees through key moments in the ILWU’s history, including its early days and struggles. That activity was followed by some Bingo and prizes, and Mike Wilcox of Local 21 demonstrated how to make monkey fist knots! Special thanks to the PR Committee, Lily Womack, and Dakota Camberg, for organizing the event and helping build solidarity throughout the Columbia River Region.

On September 21, ILWU Credit Union proudly hosted a dinner reception at the 57th Annual Pacific Coast Pensioners Convention in Tacoma, WA. More than 100 convention attendees and their guests enjoyed a buffet dinner, drinks, and music! Andy and Rebecca from our BD Team (with the help of John Castanho) also raffled fall-themed See’s Candy and $100 gift cards to 11 lucky winners! We’d like to thank the PCPA International Officers and Convention Planning Committee for this meaningful opportunity. Connecting with the mentors, educators, and carriers of ILWU history is always a treat.

ILWU Credit Union was proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of the 21st Annual Tri-Party Golf Event, helping raise funds for MemorialCare Foundation Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital and the Jonathan Jaques Children’s Cancer Institute.

Held September 12–13 at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort in Palm Desert, California, this year’s event brought together more than 230 golfers and their guests for two days of golf, solidarity, and fun. Saturday’s banquet featured a large selection of raffle prizes and a special art auction showcasing artwork created by children receiving treatment at Miller Children’s Hospital.

It was a HOT but truly amazing weekend filled with great golf, good times, and, most importantly, the opportunity to support a wonderful cause.

ILWU Credit Union would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mark Grgas Jr. and the Tri-Party Golf Committee for allowing us to be part of such a special event. We’re honored to support the incredible work being done for children and families in our community! ❤️⛳️

On September 12, our ILWU Credit Union Business Development Representative, Jessie, joined the fun at a Paint & Sip event at the “Brick House” in Oakland. 🎨🍷

We were proud to donate to this special event, which raised funds in support of ILWU Federated Auxiliary 17.

A big thank you to Rahima Walker for including us and for hosting such a wonderful event! We’re always grateful for opportunities to connect with and support our ILWU community.

ILWU Credit Union was a proud sponsor of the 4th Annual Wesley Furtado Golf Tournament, held at Kapolei Golf Club on Friday, September 4, 2026.⛳️

With more than 180 golfers from across the mainland, Hawaiian Islands, local businesses, sponsors, and the community, it was truly a memorable day filled with great golf, ono food, drinks, and plenty of camaraderie. The tournament featured 18 holes of golf, with food and refreshments available throughout the course, followed by an evening banquet complete with entertainment, prizes, and fellowship.

Most importantly, all proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Wesley Furtado Scholarship Fund, supporting educational opportunities for students from early education through higher education, within the longshore community.

ILWU Credit Union would like to extend a heartfelt mahalo to the Hawaii Longshore Division for continuing to welcome us and allowing us to be part of such a meaningful and special event. We are honored to support a cause that invests in the future of our community and our keiki. Congratulations on another successful golf tournament in honor of Wesley Furtado.
