Meet Dan Valeri, our dedicated Field Representative serving New Hampshire. For 35 years, Dan has been a steady presence at The Andover Companies, building strong relationships and assisting our agency partners across the Granite State.
Dan began his career as an Assistant Personal Lines Underwriter in 1989. After working in Underwriting for a few years, he knew he wanted a job in the Andover Field Department. “I thought it was a perfect match for me and something that could last. To get the New Hampshire job was a bonus.”
What makes Dan’s 35 years especially meaningful are the relationships he’s built. He appreciates the number of close friends he has among his NH agents: "I trust them, and they trust me. I wish I could list a bunch of names, but my buddies know who they are.”
When asked what he values most about Andover, Dan points to the company’s loyalty. During tough times in New Hampshire, especially the devastating ice storms, he recalls strong support from company leadership. That support meant a great deal, especially at a time when he had three young children at home.
Outside work, Dan enjoys life in Portsmouth, which he considers a tremendous town filled with great bars and restaurants. He particularly likes Portsmouth's "incredible spontaneous vibe," saying that often, he and his wife Robin will take a walk into town on a Saturday afternoon with no plans and return several hours later after bumping into friends all day.
He also enjoys traveling, walking, and tackling home projects. “I know this sounds crazy, but I enjoy painting. Not painting art, but interior painting. I’m currently working at my boys’ townhouse in Dover and plan to paint every single room in their home. When I’m done with a room, it gives me tremendous satisfaction seeing what I’ve accomplished."
And if he could plan his perfect day? “The perfect day would be for me and Larry Bird to go to a Red Sox Game with great seats right above the Sox dugout and talk all day and enjoy beers together!”
After 35 years, Dan continues to bring dedication, insight, and a personal touch to everything he does. We’re proud to celebrate this work anniversary with him and grateful to have him on our team.
