10 years with Primerica today!
It's been quite the journey to this point. It's not an understatement for me to say becoming a financial advisor is the most difficult thing I've accomplished to this point in my life.
In the string of "no's" and cancellations, I regularly get discouraged, feeling as though the effort I put in is not creating the change I desire. When someone asks, "have you ever thought about quitting?" I quip, "Ever? Or, just this week? ... because, yes." Very few days go by without wondering if I'm strong enough, smart enough, or stable enough to keep going.
.. But, in every single one of the days that go by, I find my faith ... again and again and again. The answer to my doubts is "yes!" Yes, I am strong enough! Yes, I am smart enough! Yes, I am stable enough!
So, 10 years go by and the young man that wore shorts with sneakers to his first convention in 2017, progressed to jeans in 2019, and slacks with dress shoes by 2024. The headshots become more professional. The product knowledge runs deeper. The list of clients to send birthday cards to gets longer. Eventually, the income stream flows wider.
I'm excited to see how the efforts in my first 10 years and the changes I've gone through in that time will shape the next 10 years in my career. Thank you to all those of you that have travelled along with me on this journey. I can't wait to meet those that will join me on the road ahead!
