After a contentious day on Wednesday driven primarily by Republican divisions on E15, lawmakers began debating amendments to the farm bill essentially overnight. The House then came back Thursday morning to vote on several amendments and pass the bill. The bill passed with some bipartisan support.

Spring Price Discovery update for Crop Insurance:
Today was the final trading day for setting our Feb averages. Here's where we ended up! (Unofficial until RMA releases)

Corn $4.62, Volatility 0.15
Beans $11.09, Volatility 0.13

2025 Prices:
Corn $4.70, Volatility 0.18
Beans $10.54, Volatility 0.14

February Price Discovery Status:
We're 7 days into the Spring Price Discovery process for setting our 2026 Crop Insurance prices:

Corn $4.58 and 0.15 Volatility
Beans $10.91 and 0.13 Volatility

2025 Prices for reference:
Corn $4.70 & 0.18
Beans $10.54 & 0.14

Lower Volatility and higher subsidies will result in lower premiums for the same levels of coverage this year. We're seeing a lot of farmers adding ECO & SCO with the new 80% subsidy, if they didn't already have it in their risk management plan.
