Insurance quote tip of the day: 😉

If you call an insurance agency for a homeowners quote and we ask questions, it’s not because we’re being nosy.
It’s because we’re trying to make sure your quote is accurate and that you’re actually comparing apples to apples.
“Just give me the cheapest coverage” sounds simple… until there’s a claim.
Homeowners insurance is not one size fits all. We need to know things like who owns the property, how the home is occupied, what coverage you currently have, what your contents may be worth, your deductibles, roof information, and other details that affect both price and protection.
A cheaper quote with less coverage is not a deal. It’s a surprise waiting to happen.
At Coastal Casualty, we don’t guess at coverage just to give you a number.
We ask the questions, explain the options, and help you understand what you’re buying.
And yes, sometimes people hang up when we ask those questions, because we don’t play the game of “ Just give me what most people carry on contents coverage” 😂
That’s okay. We’d rather lose a quote than write the wrong coverage just to give someone the cheapest number.

Because “just make it cheap” is not a coverage strategy.

While everyone’s busy chasing fireworks, fishing trips, and beach chairs this week, we’re over here chasing insurance savings. 😄

📢 Office Update | June 22–27, 2026

I will be out of the office next week attending my son’s World Series.

The office will remain open during normal business hours, and my other amazing son, Dylan, will be managing the office and assisting with limited services while I’m away.

Dylan will be available to assist with:

✅ Payments
✅ Document drop-offs and signatures
✅ General policy service requests
✅ Basic account assistance

Please note that new business quotes, rewrites, coverage reviews, policy changes requiring a licensed agent, and other matters requiring agent involvement may be delayed until my return.

For urgent matters that require a licensed agent, I will have limited remote access and will assist when possible.

Small town reminder from your local insurance agency:

Most people who walk through our doors are kind, patient, and an absolute pleasure to help. Y’all are the reason we love being a locally owned business.

But every now and then somebody walks in acting like a full-blown fonchock. 😅

Just a friendly reminder… our office has cameras everywhere. So if someone comes in fussing, pacing, or trying to run the place like they own it, chances are the whole performance is being recorded.

Our team is here to help and we treat everyone with respect, but sometimes doing our job means asking someone to step back behind the desk or follow the rules of the office.

Most folks understand that. The few who don’t… well… let’s just say the lunch-time replay can get pretty entertaining around here.

Be kind. Respect the staff.
