Set it and forget it is not an insurance strategy.

I speak with business owners every single day. And some of them have a strategy when it comes to their business insurance.

Most do not.

Common Scenario:

Business owner buys a policy that covered them when they first started, and never had it reviewed or updated. Just kept renewing it. They don't review their revenue figures or payroll. They don't review for adding coverage or gaps. They don't even update their drivers lists.

All very important parts to a policy.

Having a professional review your current agents work shouldn't be scary. You should completely trust your insurance agent and that they are working in your best interest. Not just renewing a policy that doesn't accurately reflect your current business endeavors because they are scared the premium may change.

Obviously, there is a happy medium, but having a set it and forget it mindset can be catastrophic to your business along with overpaying on your insurance costs.
