Here I am sitting in my office for the last official day of work. I have some very mixed feelings, Part of my is sad that I am leaving after over 34 years of dedicated insurance work, I will miss many of my clients several who have become good friends. The other part of me is excited to be able to relax and not have to worry about being available almost 24 hours per day.
Everyone keeps asking me what I am going to do now that I am retired, I hope to not have to worry about that for a few weeks or months and just relax. Walk the dogs and try to get organized around the house. Maybe do some yard work (once the weather warms up) maybe go fishing (once the weather warms up), maybe do some traveling (once the weather warms up) who know I guess I just need the weather to warm up.
Well only time will tell and I will try to let you all know once I figure it out.

With the Holidays around the corner, I trust this message finds you warm and well. I am writing to share some significant news with you that marks both an ending and a new beginning in my professional journey. After much contemplation and consideration, I have decided to retire from Farmers Union Insurance on December 31st, 2023.
It has been an absolute privilege to be a part of your growth and successes over the 34+ years of serving the Park County and greater Montana area. The relationships I have built with clients like you have been the highlight of my career, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the trust we have shared.
The decision to retire was not an easy one, but I believe it is the right time for me, and my family, to move on to the next chapter of our lives. I am confident that the exceptional team at Farmers Union will continue to provide the high level of service and commitment that you have come to expect.
As I reflect on the years we’ve spent working together, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities, challenges, and achievements we’ve experienced side by side. Your support has been invaluable, and I am proud of all that we have achieved together.
While I will miss our regular interactions, I am excited about the prospect of new adventures that retirement brings, I am confident that our paths will cross again, and I look forward to staying connected even in this new phase of life.

The National Weather Service is advising the Shields River is expected to crest at 4.5-5 feet tonight around midnight. Minor flood stage on the Shields River is 5.5 feet. While we are not expecting to reach flood stage, there are some areas in the Shields drainage that get wet around 5 feet. If you live in one of these locations, take appropriate measures today. You can monitor the Shields River stream guage on the NWS website at this link: https://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=byz&gage=sldm8. Any questions or concerns, please contact your local emergency manager at (406) 823-0823.

With the heavy snow fall we have had this spring I want to remind you that if you wish to protect your property from loss due to a Flood you must purchase flood insurance at least 30 days ahead, as there is a 30 waiting period.
