📚🧑‍🏫The Alfa Foundation will award 100 scholarships to students attending Alabama colleges, universities and technical schools.

🐓🌳The Alabama Farmers Agriculture Foundation will award up to 67 scholarships to students majoring in agriculture or forestry at Auburn University, Alabama A&M University and Tuskegee University.

Weekend Weather Alert! ⛈️☔️❄️

Communities across our core states have the potential for severe weather later today through Saturday — just in time for an arctic blast arrival Sunday. Talk about a weather whirlwind! 😅

Before the winds and winter chill hit your area, please take a few moments to reduce your risk of damage.

☂️ Secure outdoor furniture, toys or other items that could be easy targets in strong winds.
☂️ Remove any dead limbs or other debris from your property, especially any that pose a threat to your 🏠 or 🚗.
☂️ Check your emergency kit to ensure flashlights and weather radios have working batteries. Have bottled water, non-perishable food and a first-aid kit on hand, just in case.
❄️ Bring 🐶🐱 inside if possible, and ensure your other animals have shelter available.
❄️ Winterize your pipes and drain any outdoor faucets or garden hoses to prevent freezing.
❄️ Feeling a draft? Check doors and windows for leaks, and have them sealed with weather-stripping, caulk or expanding foam to keep your home warmer.

Attending a college or university in Alabama next fall? Apply online for your chance to receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Alfa Foundation Scholarship Program! 📚 Students must have an active Alabama Farmers Federation membership in their name to be eligible.

Applications are also available for the 2025-26 Alabama Farmers Agriculture Foundation Scholarship! Students must be pursuing degrees in agriculture or forestry at Auburn University, Alabama A&M University or TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY.

Applications for both scholarship programs are open at AlfaFarmers.org/Scholarships now through Feb. 2. Don’t delay — apply today!

We understand Alfa® customers are among those impacted by the federal government shutdown.

To ensure your insurance coverage is not interrupted during this time, we are offering to temporarily suspend policy cancellations due to non-payment of premium and waive late fees for affected customers.

Hardship requests are being reviewed based on individual circumstances for federal employees who are furloughed or working without pay and whose policies were in force on the date of the shutdown (Oct. 1). Those facing financial difficulty should contact their local Alfa service center or our Customer Resource Center at 1-800-964-2532.
