Today is Get Smart About Credit Day!

Across the country, bankers are volunteering their time to help teens and young adults build the financial knowledge and confidence they need to make informed financial decisions. This year, nearly 4,800 banker volunteers have committed to reaching more than 135,000 students and young adults through the ABA Foundation's 24th annual Get Smart About Credit Day.

The ABA Foundation is excited to introduce new resources this year, including interactive lessons on credit, fraud and scams through our new partnership with Cashy, a gamified financial education platform designed to make learning more engaging and memorable.

Get involved today:
✅ Access Free Financial Education Resources: Banks that register for ABA Foundation financial education programs can access complimentary Cashy fraud and scam prevention lessons through September 2027, along with Get Smart About Credit resources, lesson plans and program materials. Our newest lesson, Outsmart the Scam, shows teens how to identify red flags and avoid fraud (available on Thursday). We also recently released Credit Counts, to help young adults learn how to build and maintain good credit.

Attendees heard the latest news from the Arkansas Bankers Association with ABA Chairman-Elect Jeff Lynch of Eagle Bank & Trust and Justin Allen of Wright Lindsey Jennings, followed by an update from Washington, D.C., with Tanner Black of the American Bankers Association.
