🚨 Scam calls and texts are becoming more convincing than ever.
Did you know scammers can "spoof" phone numbers, making it appear as though a call or text is coming from your bank—even when it isn't?
If you receive a call, text, or email asking for sensitive information, account details, passwords, security codes, or immediate action, take a moment to verify before responding.
A good rule of thumb:
✅ Hang up
✅ Find your bank's phone number from a trusted source
✅ Call the bank directly to confirm whether the communication was legitimate
Remember, scammers often create a sense of urgency to pressure you into acting quickly. Taking a few extra minutes to verify could protect your accounts and personal information.
If you're ever unsure, contact Home State Bank directly. We're always happy to help you determine what's legitimate and what's not.
