🚨 URGENT FRAUD ALERT: SCAMMERS ARE IMPERSONATING LCFCU! 🚨
We want to alert our members and community to a recent phone scam involving someone falsely claiming to represent Lisbon Community Federal Credit Union.
This is happening NOW, and we want you to be aware!
A member recently received a call from someone identifying themselves as being from the “Lisbon Credit Union Fraud Department.” The phone number displayed was 917-737-1795, which is NOT an LCFCU phone number.During the call, the scammer convinced the member to share personal information.
⚠️ PLEASE REMEMBER:
Lisbon Community FCU will NEVER call you and ask for your online banking password, PIN, security codes, or other confidential account access information.
WHEN IN DOUBT:
✅ HANG UP! If something doesn't feel right, end the call.
✅ CALL US DIRECTLY! Reach us at 207-353-4144 using the number you dial yourself, not a number provided by the caller.
✅ NEVER SHARE! Do not provide passwords, PINs, verification codes, or account access information to someone who calls you.
✅ REPORT IT! If you receive a suspicious call or have already shared information, contact us immediately so we can help protect your accounts.
IMPORTANT: While 917-737-1795 was the number reported in this incident, scammers can use different phone numbers and caller ID names. Do not assume a call is legitimate simply because the caller claims to represent LCFCU.
