So I met Derrick Martinez several months back and have had a chance to get to know him a little bit. However I never knew any of this about him that’s in this video.

I wanted to share this video because his story is moving and I think might help some people gain perspective on a situation many of us will never have to go through.

All I know is that the next time I see Derrick he’s getting a hug whether he wants one or not.

All I keep thinking about is the farmers and ranchers of this state and how this storm has impacted them. But I know they will bounce back! There are some amazing people in this state and they are ones that make this a special place to live. Not everybody understands the way of life here, but we'll just keep it our little secret.
