As an Edward Jones financial advisor, I enjoy the opportunity to partner with individual investors on creating and implementing strategies that work toward specific goals that we set together. During our initial visit, I will ask a number of questions to ensure I truly understand my clients' needs and subsequent goals. I then get to know their risk tolerances and experience levels to truly understand the best strategies to meet their needs. Focus Areas
-Retirement Savings Strategies
-Retirement Income Strategies
-Portfolio Reviews
-Estate & Legacy Strategies
-Insurance & Annuities
-College Savings

I received my undergraduate degrees from the University of Central Missouri and my MBA from Baker University. Outside of the office, I am an active husband and father... spending a lot of time at my two sons games, track meets, etc. I grew up in a small rural community near St. Louis but my wife and I have lived in the Kansas City area for over 20 years. I have found that my clients truly appreciate the time I take to educate them on the strategies and investments we will be using, which in turn, helps them feel more comfortable when making decisions. My branch office administrator, Gayle and I work as a team to give you the personal service you deserve when it comes to planning for your financial future.

If you'll soon retire, or recently have, market volatility may feel especially unsettling. And that’s understandable because at this point in your life, market downturns can have an outsized impact on your financial security.

That’s why now is a good time to stress-test your retirement income.

First, start by confirming how much you rely on your portfolio for income and how a market drop may affect your short-term needs.

Then consider whether you have enough in an emergency fund to help you through. Three to six months’ worth of essential expenses is a standard rule of thumb.

And think about where you could adjust your spending, and if you need to reduce your exposure to riskier assets such as stocks.

If you’d like help stress-testing your retirement income plan, I can help you evaluate your options and stay focused on your long-term goals, even when the markets are anything but steady.
