If you have busted pipes that cause damage to your home - here is what you need to do.

1️⃣ Stop the water. This part is obvious but easy to forget in the moment. Get the water shut off.

2️⃣ Contact me. Message me. Text me.

3️⃣ We are going to be on a wait for most services because of volume. Places are covered up. We need someone it fix the pipe. Plumber. Cousin. Uncle. Whatever. We need to fix the pipe so that your water can be restored. Keep all your receipts.

4️⃣ Get on the list for a water remediation company. All these companies are SLAMMED. I’ve been very unimpressed with how these companies are handling this - but if your living area got wet - we need them to come start getting everything dry.

5️⃣ When you contacted me in step 2, I’m going ahead and getting your insurance company involved. This is where we will hand everything over to a claims adjuster.

This is not going to be smooth because of how overloaded there plumbers / restoration companies are. The key here is getting in line asap.
